LYNDON — Moundridge's girls track and field team was third in the state last year and it will certainly have the entries this weekend in Wichita to make another run at a Top 3 finish.

The Wildcats scored in huge chunks during Friday's Class 2A regional, including seven first-place finishes.

Jamya O'Quinn and Peri Lange were immense, with O'Quinn winning the 100 and 200, while running on the winning 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays. Lange also was a four-gold performer, winning the 100 and 300 hurdles, and joining O'Quinn, Ashley Holler and Ellika Ptacek on the winning relay teams.

Holler won the high jump as well.

The MHS boys had a regional champion in triple jumper Joel Holloway. It was one of three events he qualified in.
