New McPherson College volleyball coach Jessica Cleveland has landed one of the top players from one of the state’s top programs in Kansas.

Jamie Siess, a 5-7 setter from Class 5A power Shawnee Heights, has signed a letter of intent with the Bulldogs as Cleveland continues to hit home runs on the recruiting trail.

“Jamie is coming from a good high school and club program," Cleveland said. "She is headed to Junior Club Nationals next month in Indianapolis. She is fast and efficient giving her the ability to play the net well. She is an offensive-minded setter that will score points. We are excited to finalize our roster with an athletic setter like Jamie."

In her senior season, Siess recorded 743 assists, 174 digs, 26 aces and 11 blocks while serving at 93 percent. She made the All-Academic First Team for Shawnee Heights and was a member of the National Honor Society.
