HOA baseball selections announced

Inman, Moundridge and Canton-Galva populated the Heart of America League’s postseason baseball selections announced this week.

Making first team for the Teutons were pitcher Noah Tuscan, second baseman Dakota Parkhurst and designated hitter Zach Spiece.

Moundridge’s first-team pick was outfielder Noah Eichelberger.

Wildcat pitcher Kyle Stucky and his catcher Anthony Otte earned second-team honors, as did Canton-Galva’s DH Hunter Pearson.

Canton-Galva also had three honorable mention selections — second baseman Devyn Elkins, third baseman Reed Wiens and outfielder Ethan Loyd. 

Inman first baseman Ethan DeWitt and Moundridge third baseman Trenton Olson were honorable mention as well.

The first team:

Pitchers — Connor Freund, Sedgwick; Dylan Pippin, Marion; Noah Tuscan, Inman

Catcher — Hunter Giffin, Sedgwick

First Base — Jacob Stanley, Bennington

Second Base — Dakota Parkhurst, Inman

Shortstop — Stanton Schnittker, Sedgwick

Outfield — Noah Eichelberger, Moundridge; Mason Pedersen, Marion; Nate Werner, Sedgwick

DH — Zach Spiece, Inman

Utility — Murphy Seim, Ell-Saline
