McPherson High will be in the spotlight tonight at the Kansas Volleyball Association All-Star Match in Topeka.

MHS graduates Megan Pedersen and Magan Alexander will be on opposite sides of the net when the annual match unfolds at Washburn University, where Pedersen will continue her career this fall.

Pedersen is a member of the Blue team, while Alexander will play for the Reds, who are coached by MHS’ Christy Doile. Alexander will be competing for Fort Hays State this fall.

Doile, who played in this match in 1995, also will be recognized for having achieved her 300th career win this past season, while the MHS program will be honored for being the Class 4A “Program of the Year.”

The All-Star match will be televised locally on Cox Cable Channel 22.
