Lackey eagles 17 to finish 18th in Junior Amateur Championship

Jacob Lackey struggled on the back nine but, finished strong with an Eagle on #17 to finish the 57thAnnual Junior Amateur Golf Championship tied for 18th place. Lackey, who  entered Thursday's final round tied for 17th, shot a final round 3 over 75 to finish with a 225 three round total.

In the final round Lackey was sitting at even par for the day after 12 holes before carding a Triple Bogey 8 on the Par 5 13th. He followed that going Bogey, Par, Bogey on 14, 15, and 16 before rebounding with an Eagle 3 on the Par 5 17th. Lackey parred 18 to finish the final round. For the tournament he had one Eagle, five Birdies, 34 Pars, 13 Bogies, and the lone Triple Bogey.

Blake Allen of Lenexa won the tournament with a 2 under 214. Hesston’s Grant Brenneman shot a final round 90 to finish with an 18 over Par 259. Only two players finished in red numbers as Bradley Beykirch of Pittsburg finished one shot behind Allen with a one under Par 215.
