U-12 Lady Express now 20-5

The McPherson U-12 Lady Express and the Pink Panthers swapped victories in youth softball games played on Tuesday.

The Panthers made quick work of the Express in the first game, 13-1. Back-to-back six-run innings sparked the win. Brette Doile had one of the two McPherson hits and scored the run. Abby Hipp had the other hit.

McPherson bounced back strong in the second game with an 11-3 victory. Hailey Henson came on in relief and pitched 3 1/3 hitless innings to pick up the win. The Express had an explosive 15 hits, led by Cameron Pelzel (3 for 3, three runs scored), Doile (three hits, three RBIs) and Sheridan Bliss (three hits). Henson and Olivia Morgan had two hits apiece, with the latter scoring three runs.

McPherson is now a splendid 20-5 on the season.
