No parking in front or side lawns: City Code of Ordinances Sec. 82-113.

Find it here:

From time to time McPherson Police Department receives complaints from citizens of vehicles being parked on lawns in residential areas. In the City of McPherson, it is illegal to park your vehicle on a front or side lawn except temporarily to load or unload property or for licensed contractors engaged in a work project.

The purpose of this ordinance is to prevent community blight and to keep sidewalks open for pedestrians who should not be in roadways.

A first violation of this ordinance is punishable by a id="mce_marker"00 fine and $55.50 Municipal Court cost and increases by id="mce_marker"00 for each offense thereafter within the calendar year.

On most Tuesdays, MPD addresses a topic dealing with traffic enforcement in the City of McPherson. The “Traffic Stop” is organized by the Traffic Section of Patrol Bureau. We need suggestions for more topics to address!
