McPherson CVB Move to Museum Great Success

The McPherson Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) last month moved its office to the McPherson Museum with the intention of creating a new Kansas Travel Center right here in McPherson. Already, it looks like the move is paying off, according to CVB Director Joni Regnier.

“Since moving to the museum and becoming a travel center, the traffic has increased tremendously,” Regnier said. “[Last] Thursday we had over 30 guests and 27 of them visited the museum and paid admission. And on Friday we had over 25 guests and 17 paid admission to the museum.

And this even before the new sign for the Travel Center is up on the interstate, which will be in the next week or two and should draw even more visitors into the McPherson Museum and the town as a whole.

“We’ve had people from Boston on bicycles, and it’s just been awesome,” Regnier enthused. “I think it was a good move for the CVB.”

You can pay a visit to the McPherson Convention and Visitors Bureau at its new location with the McPherson Museum at 1111 E. Kansas Ave in McPherson.
