4th of July Celebrations in McPherson County

The celebrations in McPherson have moved to Grant Sports Complex north of town due to excessive flooding in Wall Park.


Lots of holiday celebrations are coming up in the local community!

McPherson’s annual 4thof July celebration will begin 8:00 pm Monday in Wall Park with a free concert featuring the local rock ‘n roll band Petty Cash. Free ice cream will be available courtesy of Nex-Tech Wireless, and fireworks will begin at dark sponsored by the McPherson refinery.

Lindsborg’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July celebration will also be Monday evening with concessions beginning at 5:00 and the Lindsborg Community Band performing at 6:00. Fireworks were made possible this year through fundraising efforts and will begin at 9:00. The event takes place at Lindsborg’s Swensson Park and seating for the fireworks show will be available at Anderson Stadium at Bethany College.

In Marquette, a city-wide fourth of July celebration will begin at 7:00 Monday evening and run until midnight at the Wolverine Sports Complex. Free popcorn and hot dogs will be available.

The Inman community will be celebrating their fourth of July festivities on Sunday at the Inman High School football field. Events include a foosball tournament that begins at 5:00, followed by a digital scavenger hunt at 5:30 and burgers and hotdogs at 6:00 paid for by free-will donations that will go toward funding next year’s celebrations. Games and prizes will be ongoing and fireworks will begin at dark.
