Cindy Kinnamon-File Photo’s  “Catchy Awards” have reached the halfway point of their voting and McPherson High’s Drew Pyle has the narrowest of leads for “Best Boys Basketball Player.”

According to the website, Pyle has garnered 27 percent of the vote, 1 percent more than Goddard Eisenhower’s Matt Pile. At 25 percent is Wichita Southeast’s Jerrick Harding, so the race could come down to the wire.

Pyle recently was honored as Kansas’ Mr. Basketball by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.

Hesston’s Grant Dahlsten and Garrett Roth are leading the voting for “Best Tennis Player or Duo.” They have 29 percent of the vote compared to 26 percent for Salina Central’s J.D. McHenry and Zach Hilbig.

Hesston’s Cami Richardson is in second place for “Best Girls Multi-sport Athlete.” The McPherson College basketball signee has 25 percent of the vote, trailing the 31 percent for Douglass’ Cashlyn Monroe.
