LINDSBORG — Morgan Hauser, who recently completed an outstanding volleyball career at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill., has joined the coaching staff at Bethany College.
She started her playing career at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill., before transferring to MacMurray.
In her two years she was the offensive MVP, was a two-time St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection as well as earning SLIAC honors. She is MacMurray’s all-time leader for kills in a single season with 385 in 2015 as well as second in average kills per set in a single season, also in 2015 with 3.32.
"I am very excited to have Morgan on board as my assistant this year,” Swede head coach Cheri Lindsay said. “She was a very dynamic player in college, so I look forward to see what she can bring to the program as a coach. She is very enthusiastic and she loves that sport."
"I am extremely eager and excited to begin my collegiate coaching career at Bethany College," Hauser said. "Having a head coach like Cheri Lindsay to gain experience under and learn through is such a great opportunity provided by herself as well as Athletic Director Dane Pavlovich. I look forward to contributing my personal experience, competitive mindset and passion for the game to the success of the program. I can't wait to get started and I feel very blessed to be a Swede."
