A McPherson man was injured Thursday morning when his pickup was involved in a three-car crash at the intersection of 19th Ave and Hwy 56, about two miles east of McPherson.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Agnar Regier, age 77, was northbound on 19th Ave. when he struck a pickup driven by Michael Nelson of Hillsboro, age 42, who was on Hwy 56 driving toward McPherson. Nelson’s pickup then struck another pickup driven by Chad Koehn of Galva, age 42, who was stopped at the stop sign southbound on 19th Ave.
Regier was transported to Hutchinson Regional Hospital where he was admitted into the intensive care unit but is reported to be in good condition, according to the Salina Journal.
Nelson suffered a possible injury, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol, and was also the only one involved in the accident who was wearing his seatbelt. Neither Regier nor Koehn were wearing seatbelts.
