The construction project on McPherson’s Ash Street has been delayed again. Director of Public Works Jeff Woodward gave yet another update at this morning's city commission meeting.
“We received an updated schedule from APAC [construction company],” Woodward reported to the city commissioners. “Ash Street is now scheduled to be closed Thursday, July 21, and that’s a correction from the press release we just sent out on Friday.
“And as always, this is subject to change.”
The Ash Street construction project will be reconstructing portions of Ash Street from Kansas Avenue on north to the railroad tracks near Euclid. This project will install new ADA ramps and curbs at Marlin and Euclid; improve drainage; and lay down new asphalt pavement for all three blocks.
Friday’s press release had announced a start date of July 20.
