There’s still time to view the free exhibits The McPherson Public Library has on display for the month of July!

A collection featuring Baseball Hall of Fame players can be viewed with cards signed by Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays and Joe DiMaggio, as just a few examples.

The public also has the opportunity to view Walker’s thought-provoking photography exhibit while it is on display in the McPherson Public Library’s meeting room during the month of July.

Walker’s photography is said to be a verbal and visual intermingling of poetry and illustration, prompting the viewer to shed light on false identities, beliefs and feelings and make way for healthy and positive introspection.

Walker was born in California and raised in Sterling, Kansas. She now lives in Hutchinson.  She is involved with various photography, video and writing projects and is a regular contributor to the Hutchinson and Kansas!magazines.

Additional work can be viewed on her website:

Next month the library’s exhibit will be featuring children’s art from the McPherson Recreation Summer Art Program.

The McPherson Public library is open seven days a week, from 9:00 to 8:00 Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, and 2:00 to 5:00 on Sunday.

The library is located at 214 W. Marlin, across the street from the McPherson County Courthouse.
