The Maple/Elizabeth street construction project that just finished up in McPherson ended up coming in under the projected cost.
“For the Maple/Elizabeth Street construction project, we have a change order to adjust the final quantities after the project was completed,” Director of Public Works Jeff Woodward told city commissioners at this week’s meeting. “The change order resulted in an under run or id="mce_marker"8,036.70.”
That may not seem a lot compared to the overall cost of the project, but it’s still a savings, something Commissioner of Streets and Utilities Larry Wiens wanted to make sure the public was clear in understanding.
“That is an under run!” Wiens emphasized. “Make sure everybody understands that.”
