GREAT BEND — They did it again.

The Ottawa Arrows, who came back through the loser’s bracket last year to win the Class AAA American Legion baseball state championship, were the comeback kids again on Sunday.

Ottawa, which lost to Chanute in the finals of the winner’s bracket on Friday, came back to defeat that team twice.

The Arrows were a 19-7 winner over Chanute on Saturday, which forced another championship game on Sunday.

It was more of the same as Ottawa breezed to an 8-2 victory.

McPherson, which lost 3-0 to Ottawa on Saturday in an elimination game, finished in third place. It also was second in 2015 and state champions (Class A) in 2014.
