By Shannon Brake, McPherson Public Library
August 07, 2016

For those who have dreamed of earning Olympic gold, the time has come. Readers of all ages can stop by the McPherson Public Library starting August 5, and join the Library Olympic Team.

This challenge for the whole family includes the relay, which is reading a recommended book; weight lifting, which is reading a book at least 200 pages long; and the marathon, which is reading a book for 60 minutes without stopping. Gold, silver, and bronze prizes will be awarded for each activity.

The challenge runs from August 5th through August 31st. Pick up a bookmark playing card and join the Olympic mania!
