An old tradition is being brought back.
McPherson High boys soccer coach Chris Adrian has announced that his team will begin fall practice at the very first minute allowed by the Kansas State High School Activities Association, which is 12:01 a.m. on Monday.
It’s a tradition that former MHS coach Jim Post started.
“It’s a fun-and-exciting way to kick off the season,” said Adrian, who should have another outstanding team this year. “Our goal is to be competitive in everything we do and that means we want to be the first team in the state to start practice. Family and alumni are welcome to come out and watch, but will want to bring lawn chairs because of the stadium construction. The boys will start their 2 mile run at midnight Sunday night.”
