The McPherson school district is welcoming 29 new educators into its ranks for the upcoming school year, with new teacher orientation beginning this week. That number’s broken down into 16 new teachers in regular education and 13 in the special education coop.

McPherson’s USD 418 is also welcoming three new educators in leadership roles: Brandon Simmelink has returned to the district and now serves as principle at the McPherson Middle School; Ronald Orsak is the new middle school’s assistant principal and activities director; and Chris Allen is the new principal at McPherson’s Eisenhower Elementary.

The first day of attendance for students at McPherson’s public schools is next Wednesday, August 17.
