McPherson has had its share of rain this summer, but the construction must go on.
McPherson’s Director of Public Works Jeff Woodward gave an update at Monday’s city commission meeting on the status of the construction on McPherson’s Ash Street. And it’s looking pretty good.
“What a difference a week has made,” Woodward said. “The pipe was repaired last week; all the base rock was put down; eight inches of the ten inches of asphalt were put down with the exception of the intersection right at Euclid and Ash – they got caught in the rain and didn’t get that little piece put in there, but it’s scheduled to be finished today.”
Woodward anticipates Ash Street will be opened back up on tomorrow.
