TESCOTT — Inman and Canton-Galva opened their cross country seasons on Thursday by competing in the Tescott Invitational.

“Overall I was pleased with the start of the racing season,” Inman coach Jay Parsons said. “I saw some things that if I can communicate to the runners and get them to understand, we will become better runners and hopefully more competitive.”

Parsons said he wasn’t concerned with placings.

“I wasn’t looking for any particular time and/or placings since this is our first meet of the season,” Parsons said. “The new runners weren’t sure what to expect or how to go about running the race. So I made sure they knew and understood how they competed was up to them.”
