CCC spikers improve to 3-0

Central Christian College’s volleyball team is off to a 3-0 start after two more wins here Friday.

The Tigers routed Central Christian College of Bible in straight sets, 25-9, 25-15, 25-12. Kacie Platt had nine kills, one more than Kasi Kraus. Hannah Crandall notched 23 assists and Desiree Padilla had eight digs.

CCC needed four sets to turn back Barclay College (25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-16).

Platt had 12 kills while Crandall had another good floor game with 22 assists. She also had 13 digs, while Padilla had 10.

“It wasn't pretty, but we dug in and found a way to win,” CCC coach Sarah Rhodes said.

Central takes a big step up in competition today when it competes in the Kansas Wesleyan Invitational. It plays Wayland Baptist at 2 p.m. and Southwestern at 6:30 p.m.
