MHS spikers ranked No. 3

McPherson High’s volleyball team remains at No. 3 in Class 4A Division I, according to Kansas Volleyball Association rankings released Wednesday.

The Bullpups are 8-2 on the season and trail Abilene and defending state champion Bishop Miege.

Rose Hill is No. 4 and DeSoto is No. 5. Rounding out the rest of the rankings are Andale, Ulysses, Louisburg, Andover Central and El Dorado.

Smoky Valley is No. 10 in Class 4A Division II, which is headed by Topeka Hayden.

Hesston is ranked No. 2 in Class 3A, trailing only Silver Lake. The Swathers won their first 10 matches before losing a pair on Tuesday to Smoky Valley and Cheney, both ranked teams.

Inman broke into the Class 2A rankings this week at No. 8. Central Plains continues to lead the way.
