MHS netters still ranked No. 2

McPherson High’s girls tennis team remains on the bumper of Wichita Collegiate as the teams continue to wage battle at the top of the Class 4A state rankings.

Collegiate has been No. 1 all season, with the Bullpups right behind. MHS won the Salina Central title on Saturday, finishing ahead of Class 5A’s No. 2-ranked team, Arkansas City.

Independence remains at No. 3, with Topeka Hayden and Andover Central rounding out the Top 5. Miege, Coffeyville and Winfield are others to watch.

Hesston continues to rule Class 3-2-1A, with Conway Springs second and Wichita Independent third. Central Plains and Sterling complete the Top 5, with Kansas City Christian, Marysville and Ellsworth as others to watch.
