McPherson Middle School’s seventh-grade volleyball teams are still perfect on the season.

Hosting a triangular on Monday, both the A- and B-teams came away with a pair of wins.

The A-team defeated Derby (25-13, 25-20). The Bullpups then had little trouble with Salina South (25-10, 25-11) to move to 6-0.

“We had some great plays at the net and did a nice job of tip coverage,” MMS coach Shelly Bohme said. “The girls did a nice job of getting passes up to the setter and attacking the ball. We need to continue to work on consistent serving.”

The B-team also won in straight sets. It defeated Derby (25-16, 25-21) and then dispatched with Salina South (25-8, 25-10) to also move to 6-0.

“We had excellent communication today,” Bullpup coach Abby Bradstreet said. “We struggled to get off the net on free balls, but overall our passing was the best it has been all season.”
