MANHATTAN — It was one of those soccer games where McPherson College men’s coach Doug Quint could kick back and relax — almost like a fan.

His Bulldogs scored early and often on Wednesday as they routed overmatched Manhattan Christian, 8-0.

Brayan De La Cruz, Nick Torres and Chris Kelly all scored two goals for the Bulldogs, who are now 4-0-1 on the season.

Also scoring for Mac were Sean Morris and Jesus Pescador. Assists were not available.

“We had a lot of possession, created a ton of chances and were able to play everyone we traveled," Quint said. "We were creative in possession with our combinations."

The Bulldogs have a week off as their next action is Sept. 22 when they play at nationally ranked University of Science and Arts in Chickasha, Okla. The Bulldogs then play at St. Gregory’s on the 24th.

The scheduled women’s game was cancelled.
