LAWRENCE — Bethany College’s golf teams opened the fall portion of their schedule this week in the two-day Ottawa Invitational and the highlight was the Swedes’ Aspen Bryant winning the women’s title.
Bryant toured the Eagle Bend course with rounds of 72-75-147. Freshman Emily Sutton tied for 10th with 84-80-164.
Other Swede scores were Lexi Pauls (92-92-185), Rachel Meyer (96-90-186) and Larrah Bills (127-117-244).
Bethany was sixth as a team.
The Swede men took fourth out of nine teams, led by Josh Meeks. He was fifth after rounds of 75-74-149.
Other Swede scores were Oliver Rubenstein (78-76-154), Josef Loughlin (74-83-157), Meliton Moreno (81-76-157), Jordan DellaGuistina (85-73-158) and Juan Pablo Sin (85-74-159).
