It was another steamrolling performance on Thursday for the McPherson Middle School girls tennis team at Wall Park.

The Bullpups overpowered Hutchinson 17-3, with all of MMS’ losses by 6-4 scores.

“A lot of the girls were challenged today, but they kept fighting,” MMS coach Ricardo Sanchez said. “Our three losses were extremely closes, as they were all just a point or two from going to tie-breakers. I am glad they were challenged, as they will need to be ready for two tough days next week.”

The team plays Monday at Salina South, which was MMS’ only loss last year. Tuesday the Bullpups stay on the road to Maize South for a day-long tournament.
