MMS netters rout Maize South

It’s obvious McPherson Middle School’s girls tennis team has a lot of depth.

The Bullpups continued to be a runaway winner in dual matches as Thursday they routed Maize South, 19-2.

“Everyone was able to adapt to the windy conditions, which is always good,” MMS coach Ricardo Sanchez said. “It was evident that many of our players were playing their ninth or tenth match of this week as our footwork could have been better. Even though they may not have been at 100 percent, all of the girls were able to battle through and get a lot of wins. The girls just need to get some rest this weekend as next weekend we have another full week of tennis.”

MMS is home on Monday for a match with Salina Lakewood.
