PEABODY — Canton-Galva volleyball coach Kaitlyn Bressie said over the weekend she was hoping her team could bounce back with a solid performance on Tuesday after a rough go in the Herington Invitational.

It did.

The Eagles tuned up for Saturday’s home invitational by sweeping two matches. C-G defeated Little River (25-23, 25-11) and Peabody (25-17, 25-13).

“We started off slow tonight, down in the first set, but we fought back,” Bressie said. “I challenged them all to come together as a team and they stepped up. Both of our wins tonight were because of a team effort. Tonight is good momentum for us going into our invitational this weekend. We are looking forward to playing on our own court.”
