Regional cross country meets around the state will take place on Oct. 22 and the Kansas State High School Activities Association has announced meet assignments.
McPherson High and Smoky Valley head to Hays, where they’ll be joined by Abilene, Buhler, Chapman, Clay Center, Colby, Concordia, Goodland, Holcomb, Larned, Nickerson, Pratt, Scott City and Ulysses.
Hesston will go to a 3A meet in Sterling. Also on hand are Cimarron, Ellsworth, Thomas More Prep, Hoisington, Hugoton, Trinity Catholic, Southwestern Heights, Lakin, Lyons, Norton, Phillipsburg, Russell and Syracuse.
In Class 2A, Canton-Galva and Inman head to Meade. They’ll be joined by Berean, Elkhart, Greensburg, Hillsboro, Johnson-Stanton County, Macksville, Oxford, Pratt Skyline, St. John, Sublette and Udall.
Elyria Christian School will send a couple of runners to Wichita. Burrton, Caldwell, Coldwater, Cunningham, Goessel, Hartford, Central Christian, St. Xavier, Fairfield, Lebo, Centre, Olpe, Otis Bison, Pretty Prairie, St. John’s Military, Stafford, Waverly and Wilson round out the entries.
