Harvey County is seeking federal money to help victims and first responders that were affected by the shooting that took place earlier this year in Hesston and Excel Industries, according to the Salina Journal.

The Harvey County Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Task Force is requesting a $220,000 grant that would support mental health and counseling services for the victims and supply additional education, training and equipment for law enforcement and emergency responders.

On February 25, Cedric Ford shot and killed three people and wounded 14 others in a shooting rampage that finally ended when he was gunned down by a Hesston police officer.
