MC spikers win crosstown showdown

McPherson College’s volleyball team stepped out of KCAC action on Friday with a straight-sets victory over city rival Central Christian College at Alexander Arena.

It was pretty much the Bulldogs from start to finish as they dominated the Tigers for 25-13, 25-12, 25-16 victories.

Mac leaders:

Kills — Devrie Sombers 8, Jocelyn Cochran 8, Lexi Kite 6

Assists — Kaitlyn Heinis 10, Rhianna Smith 4, Morgan Little 4

Digs — Emily Warner 11, Jocelyn Cochran 9, Molly Kelley 8

Central leaders:

Kills — Kacie Platt 7, Sarah Post 5, Kasi Kraus 3

Assists — Hannah Crandall 14

Digs — Kasi Kraus 12, Desiree Padilla 8

Mac is now 11-6 on the season and hosts Saint Mary today in a KCAC matchup. Central dropped to 5-13 and plays today at Kansas Wesleyan.
