McPherson College’s volleyball team assured itself of finishing the first time through the KCAC in the upper division on Monday at the Sport Center.
By virtue of a 25-18, 25-20, 25-18 victory over York, Mac is now 6-4 in the KCAC with one match left to complete the first half, that against powerhouse Kansas Wesleyan.
The Bulldogs, who now have won four matches in a row, are 13-6 overall after going 7-25 last year.
“We had a great offensive game hitting a .267,” Mac coach Jessica Cleveland said. “(Jessica) Sanders and (Lexi) Kite had double-digit kills. We did a great job of serving aggressive and keeping York out of system.”
Mac had 43 kills for the match. Sanders came up with 14 and Kite had 10.
Kaitlyn Heinis recorded 18 assists and Morgan Little chipped in with 11. Emily Warner furnished 11 digs.
Kansas Wesleyan will bring an 8-2 KCAC to the Sport Center on Wednesday. The match is set for 7 p.m.
