SALINA — Central Christian College’s men’s golf team played well on Tuesday during the second day of the Kansas Wesleyan Invitational, but fell back a couple of spots.
CCC, fourth out of 14 teams to begin the day, finished in a tie for sixth after shooting a 305 after carding a 300 the first day.
CCC’s Collin Duckworth recorded a Top 10 finish. He was ninth after shooting 72-73-145.
Other scores for the Tigers were Lowell Stephens (74-75-149), John Browning (75-79-154), Colton Person (79-78-157) and Jonathan Kramer (91-81-172).
Bethany moved up to fourth place after a 294 day that came after a 302 on Monday.
Swede scores were Josh Meeks (73-72-145), Jordan Dela Guistina (77-73-150), Meliton Moreno (77-74-151), Olly Rubenstein (79-75-154) and Nathan Limbacher (76-80-156).
Sterling won the team title with a 571. The Warriors’ Dalton Bartlett shot 70-66 for medalist honors. His teammate Lorenzo Bolivar was second with 70-70-140.
Central’s Kari Kirl tied for second in the women’s division after shooting 83-83-166. Bethany’s Aspen Bryant was medalist with 83-82-165.
Central also was represented by Haley Smith with 95-107-202.
