EL DORADO — Wonderful weather brought out the best in many of the McPherson High cross country performers during Saturday’s El Dorado Invitational.

The MHS girls were 12th in the large field and the boys placed 15th.

“It was perfect weather,” MHS coach Aspen Frey said. “The course was a lot wetter than past years, which slowed down some times. Overall, I thought the kids did well to prep themselves for league next week.”

Frey added several Bullpups had season-bests despite the somewhat slow track.
