Moundridge’s Mid-Kansas Co-op was one of three Kansas grain cooperatives listed in last year’s top 100 largest agricultural co-ops in the United States.
The Mid-Kansas co-op ranked 71ston the list for 2015. Farmway Co-Op in Beloit and Frontier Ag based in Oakley also made the list, ranking 68thand 97threspectively.
Iowa is home to more Top 100 Co-Ops than any other state, with 15, followed by Minnesota with 11, and Nebraska with nine. California and Illinois each have six, and Wisconsin has five.
Mid-Kansas Co-Op did drop two spots from the previous year, according to the United States Department of Agriculture. The company has been expanding with the addition of a terminal in Sumner County and more storage at other locations.
