MHS spikers ranked No. 6 this week

McPherson High’s tough schedule continues to impress voters as the Bullpups are ranked No. 6 by the Kansas Volleyball Coaches this week in Class 4A Division I despite a recent rough stretch that included 11 losses in 15 matches.

The Bullpups are 22-15, but have won six of their last eight matches.

Abilene is still No. 1 and also ahead of MHS are Rose Hill, Louisburg, Ulysses and El Dorado. Wamego is No. 7, with the rest of the order including Paola, Andover Central and Piper.

Hesston is No. 4 in Class 3A, trailing Cheney, Silver Lake and Thomas More Prep.

Smoky Valley is No. 8 in Class 4A Division II, headlined by No. 1 Topeka Hayden.

Inman dropped out of the Class 2A rankings this week after being No. 10 last week.
