Bethany men win CCC golf tourney

Bethany College’s men captured the two-day Central Christian College Golf Classic that was completed on Tuesday at Turkey Creek.

The Swedes had a 856 total for a whopping 27-shot win over Sterling. 

Scores for the Swedes:

Meliton Moreno — 71-71-70-212

Olly Rubenstein — 73-68-72-213

Josh Meeks, 73-69-77-215

Jordan Dell Guistina — 76-72-71-219

Josef Laughlin — 76-78-70-224.

Tournament medalist was Jakkapat Horsangchai of Barton County with rounds of 70-68-68-206.

Central was sixth out of nine teams.

Leading the Tigers was Collin Duckworth, who had rounds of 71-78-70-219 for tie for sixth place.

Colton Person, 80-81-80-241

JP Ray, 86-82-79-247.

Two Central women competed. Kari Kirl shot a two-day 185 to tie for ninth. Haley Smith was 11th with a 192.

Bethany’s Aspen Bryant as fourth with 78-83-181. Redlands, the team champion, also had the medalist in Mathilde Revilliod, who shot 73-79-152.

The tournament wrapped up the fall season.
