According to today’s Kansas City Star, the Chiefs are about to solve the logjam at running back by trading Knile Davis.
The Star is reporting the Chiefs will deal Davis to the Green Bay Packers. At current time the teams are still trying to figure out compensation for the Chiefs, most likely a draft pick.
The Chiefs have Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West to handle the running game while Jamaal Charles eases back into full-time duty. Kansas City coach Andy Reid was quoted Monday as saying Charles is not quite ready to assume a full workload.
Davis has mainly made his mark on the Chiefs as a kickoff returner, including a TD in last year’s playoff victory over Houston.
