Tigers fall in triangular

Central Christian College’s volleyball team was on the wrong end of a pair of narrow decisions here Saturday.

The Tigers lost to Grace University in their first match in three fiercely close sets (24-26, 24-26, 26-28).

Kasi Kraus was immense with team highs in digs (19) and kills (9). Hannah Crandall had 21 assists and 8 kills for a good match as well.

The Tigers also put up a good fight against Southwestern Christian. After winning the first set in overtime 26-24, the Tigers lost 15-24, 17-25 and 23-25.

Kraus had 15 kills and Sarah Post added 12. Crandall had an amazing 41 assists as she was all over the court. Desiree Padilla led in digs with 18.

Central is now 8-20 on the year. The Tigers head to Manhattan Christian on Thursday.
