WILSON — Elyria Christian School’s volleyball team didn’t make it to state, but did have a winning season.
The Eagles’ campaign came to an end in the Class 1A Sub-State Tournament on Saturday with a semifinal loss.
After knocking off Tescott in the first match (25-8, 25-16), the Eagles were eliminated by No. 2 seed Otis-Bison (20-25, 21-25).
Elyria finished with a 16-15 record.
Against Tescott, Christin Vetter and Melea Redenbaugh had 5 kills apiece. Against Otis-Bison, Brekken Anderson led the stats with 9 digs.
After knocking off the Eagles, Otis-Bison stunned No. 1 season Sylvan Grove-Lucas in the finals in three sets.
