LINDSBORG — An intra-squad scrimmage probably would have done the Bethany College men’s basketball team more good than this.
The Swedes made their Hahn Gym debut Thursday night with a 105-38 rout of overmatched Baptist Bible College.
The victory evened the Swedes’ record at 1-1.
BC coach Clair Oleen was able to empty the bench early as he divided the playing minutes.
Elvis Okafor led the Swedes with 14 points. Also in doubles were Michael Ryan (13), Sebastian Jean-Charles (11), Tyler Larkin (10) and Jalen Thompson (10).
It should be more of the same tonight for the Swedes as they travel to Great Bend to take on Barclay College, another team that will have a tough time staying up with the athletic Swedes.
