PRUE, Okla. — Moundridge tuned up for its district football opener by pounding Prue 41-0 on Friday night.
The Wildcats didn’t have their legs in the first half after making the long trip, but caught fire as the game went along.
It was just 12-0 at the half, but MHS scored four times after the break to improve to 3-6, with three wins in its last four games.
Moundridge pounded out 525 yards of offense. Anthony Otte had a huge game, throwing three TD passes and running for another score. Jerod Kaufman and Dylan Sugars had rushing TDs.
Otte amazingly was 7 of 7 for 125 yards, with two of the TDs going to Parker Lange and the other to Damian Calderon. Sugars pounded out 211 yards on 18 carries as MHS was unstoppable. Prue managed only 87 yards of total offense.
Moundridge will head to Smith Center on Friday.
