The McPherson Public Library’s Craft for a Cause project will give participants the opportunity to be creative, to socialize, and to give back to the community, all in one morning. The event will be held on Saturday, November 5, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Participants will be given materials to make pet toys which will then be donated to the McPherson Humane Society.

Craft for a Cause is a quarterly event at the library. Projects are chosen with service to others in mind. “It’s no secret that people in McPherson love to help others,” says Jennie Hall, Head of Adult Services. “Every time we’ve held a library event with a tie-in to a non-profit, it has been a hit. No specials skills are necessary, just a willingness to help!”

The project is intended for adult crafters, and all materials are provided. No registration is necessary for the come and go event.
