Central Christian College’s volleyball team wrapped up its season on Tuesday under interim head coach Sarah Rhodes.

The school wasted no time in moving to find a coach without the interim tag with the announcement today that Jeremy Manning will be taking over the full-time duties.

Manning is currently an assistant at McCook Community College in Nebraska.

“We are excited to welcome coach Manning to the Central Christian College family,” CCC Athletic Director Twiggs Reed said. “His knowledge of the game of volleyball and his commitment to the Lord will help bring high-quality volleyball to our area and develop high quality young ladies who will go out and impact their world for Christ."

“I am excited to finally get an opportunity to be a head coach at the college level after all my years of coaching," said Manning, who has been a coach for 12 years. "I'm looking forward to coming in and making Central Christian College stand out in the NAIA and volleyball community. I'm also excited to start working with the ladies on the current roster, after meeting with them and seeing their enthusiasm it has inspired me even more to do everything I can to help them achieve their goals and desires this season and beyond. I am looking to not only bring in good volleyball players, but ladies that will contribute to the community and be great role models for the younger generation. I am very eager to get started and I am blessed to be working for a great institution and under the leadership of our AD Twiggs Reed."

Manning is a Phoenix native and has experience at the high school, club and collegiate levels. He spent nine years in Arizona as the AZ Desert Sky Club Travel team coach, and during that same time period, three years as a head high school coach at two different high schools in Arizona. His collegiate experience includes assistant coaching positions at Hastings College and McCook Community College.
