The amazing turnaround season for McPherson College’s volleyball team continued here Wednesday in the regular-season home finale at the Sport Center.

The Bulldogs dropped a set to York College but still came away with a 25-18, 24-26, 25-15, 25-23 victory.

Mac tied the school record with its 20th win and it has lost 10 overall. It has won 20 matches on two other occasions, 2010 and 1984.

The Bulldogs are 13-8 in the KCAC and close out the regular season by playing at 5 p.m. Saturday at powerhouse Kansas Wesleyan.

Mac, which was 2-18 in the KCAC last year and 7-25 overall, already has secured a spot in the KCAC Postseason Tournament. The Bulldogs, no matter what happens Saturday, will be on the road to Oklahoma Wesleyan on Tuesday.

“Tonight, we statistically did great as a team both offensively and defensively,” Mac coach Jessica Cleveland said. “It was a well-rounded game for us to come out and play well. York played well, too, making us earn our points. We are on our way peaking for postseason."

Lexi Kite (19), Jessica Sanders (12) and Jocelyn Cochran (11) were in all double figures in kills. Morgan Little was credited with 31 assists and Kaitlyn Heinis added 22 as they have developed into one of the top 1-2 assist duos in the KCAC. Kite also led in digs with 21, while Cochran had 17 and Little chipped in with 13.
