The McPherson Hospital Volunteers recently received a Gold Award of Excellence from the Hospital Auxiliaries of Kansas (HAK) at a convention of the Kansas Hospital Association (KHA) in Overland Park.

Recognized for their excellence in service, the Volunteers were evaluated over a twelve month period in 21 areas that include involvement in health education programs, health related community service, contributions to health career scholarships and other special projects throughout the hospital.

The McPherson Hospital Volunteers provide critical support for both families and hospital employees.

According to director of volunteer services Lori Koehn, “The dedication and devotion of many volunteers is a tribute to our hospital, staff and service to the community, as well as to the volunteers themselves.”
