Double-double machine Lexi Kite is McPherson College’s representative on the All-KCAC volleyball team announced on Thursday.
Kite has been on a roll recently with a string of double-doubles in kills and digs. She helped key a Mac turnaround as the Bulldogs broke the school record for victories with 21 after they were 7-25 last year. They are playing in the KCAC Tournament semifinals on Saturday in Ottawa.
Tabor's Tena Loewen was named Player of the Year, Ottawa's Adriana Skipper earned Setter of the Year and Andrea Kappelman of Friends was named Libero of the Year.
Jana Boston of Friends and Tabor's Kendra Kroeker shared Freshman of the Year, honors, while Ottawa’s Melissa Blessington was named Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year. Ottawa’s Tom Sorensen was named Assistant Coach of the Year.
McPherson’s Jessica Sanders and Bethany’s Carli Vansholtz were selected to the second team. The Bulldogs’ Emily Warner and Jocelyn Cochran were picked honorable mention, along with Bethany Yamiq Myles.
