LINDSBORG — Jerricus Funderburke’s 3-pointer with 2.5 seconds left in the game gave Bethany College a 77-76 victory over Randall University on Saturday, avenging an earlier season loss to the Saints.
Bethany evened its record at 3-3.
The Swedes trailed by 12 points at the half, but charged back and got the game into overtime at 67-all.
Khalid Washington led Bethany with 25 points. Funderburke chipped in with 14, Tyler Larkin scored 12 and Jalen Thompson added 11.
The Swedes open conference play on Thursday playing at McPherson College. They reportedly will have starters Cody Harris and Joey Habtemariam back for the game as they have sat out the first six games due to suspension.
